7 Month Update.... Late!

So he turned 7 months ummmm 15 days ago. WHOOPS! I thought I had better get a move on and update this thing. We haven't been able to get his pictures taken because I work all week long and Jeff works the weekend so i decided to try and get a few good pictures of him myself. He has been doing the "Mogley" crawl and trying his best to get around. If that doesn't work there is always rolling. He has mastered the introduction of teeth, now that he has eight. We see a few more buds wanting to come through so evidently his is going to take after my dad and have 12 by the age of one. He is wanting so bad to eat everything we are eating and with mom giving in every time it's becomingly increasingly hard to say no. He still says Dada but only when he is mad or upset and on random occasions I hear a Momma find it's way out. Since staring this new job I see him only a few hours out of the day so I have now replaced Jeff with missing out on anything new. We are hoping this summer to take a weekend trip to Florida since we can't get up to Ohio. The zoo down here is the next best thing! As far as height and weight go... he's slowing down. Thank goodness, I was wondering how much more we were going to have to spend on clothes. He only gained 1.5 pounds in a month and grew an inch. These are a few of the pictures I really liked of him and a slide show of the entire process. Enjoy!

No clean clothes momma!

Our son has apparently decided that all of the clean, folded clothes are to become dirty and unfolded right away! These are a few pictures of him in action ;)

New Videos

This is my third and final blog of the day. In the past few weeks I have not been able to keep up with my normal video's. I'm hoping that once I am settled into work that this will become more of a regular occurrence again. Speaking of work.... I never mentioned anything about it. I got an awesome position with Southeastern Orthopedic Center ( http://www.orthocentersav.com/ ) as a medical aide to Dr. Woo and Dr. Palmer. I schedule surgery's, see patients, set up MRI's, or anything they dream fit for me to do. It has been great so far and I can't wait to see what the future has in store for me there.

Anyway back to the videos. The first is a video we took of Christopher's means of transportation at this moment in time. He chooses to roll around everywhere and even gave us a surprise ending! The other two are from this morning at breakfast. We discovered that he really likes 80's music ;)

Old Photos

I found some pictures that evidently since I'm working were forgotten. Christopher loves to play in laundry baskets now. I put him in one a few weeks ago just to see how he would react and he LOVED it.

And my dear hubby at home relaxing on his lunch break.....

8 Teeth!!!!

We are ZOOMING when it comes to Christopher's teeth progress. In the last week 4 more teeth have come through. He now has 4 pearly whites on bottom and top. I took some pictures of him this morning in his highchair in hopes of catching some of his teeth on camera. Success!

Fire Training

Tonight was an interesting training night. We were doing firefighter safety and of course Jeff decided to volunteer to be the guinea pig without know what he was volunteering for.... BIG MISTAKE! I took some of the funniest pictures ever of him being violated. Just to give you a semi-idea, they had to unstrap the bottom harness of his air pack and loop it between his legs (some people were not so gentle!) in case he had to be "pulled" from a fire. We also were training on how to get a down firefighter out a window and some of those pictures ended up being just as comical. Enjoy!

Random Mobile Photos

I've been taking a lot of random mobile photos lately. Mostly because Christopher is learning new things and I can't get to the camera fast enough. He now rolls wherever he wants to go, with the occasional "mini crawl". He started playing with his learning table last night so I see that coming out more often now. The rest of the photos we have either been out and about or just playing on the floor. Enjoy!

Things Change In an Instant!

This weeks has been full of learning and new experiences for me. I was so shocked to be offered this awesome position with an amazing company. Everyone has been so helpful in showing me around and making me feel welcome. I knew that it was almost to great of a week. Tonight I went to the doctor for a simple problem and found out that my right kidney is only working at 41% the doctor told me that she was going to prescribe me a new drug that supposedly can jump start the kidney and "hopefully" it will start to fix it's own problems. Evidently this all began around my 4 month time period of my pregnancy. I'm not going to get into specifics but had we caught this while I was pregnant they would have terminated Christopher.... no regrets on my part! I'm just going to tell him for the rest of my life that he killed my kidney... lol.

On a happier note I have taken new pictures of him. Since I'm working now my time has been cut by 75% I also have a video of him but that I will add tomorrow. Pray for me and cross you fingers that my right kidney is not down for the count and bounces back!

My Very First Mother's Day....

.... Was overall a great day. Jeff had tried the night before to pick me up some flowers but as his schedule on the police department is never normal that plan fell through. Instead the next morning he got up, took, a shower, feed and changed Christopher, and left mommy in bed while they went off to the store. I liked this plan better because as it turned out Christopher picked out my flowers which made it even more special. In the pictures below Christopher is still wanted to "pick" those flowers which in the end we did pick one off and gave it to him (it was the only way to get him to sit still long enough for Jeff to take the picture.

The rest of the day was spent at my mommas then I headed back home to make Jeff dinner (only because he had to work!). Currently it is 6:30 am and I am getting ready to head off to work! Wish me luck on my first day.

Playing with Rupert

Christopher has become OBSESSED with his teddy bear Rupert. He goes with us everywhere and Christopher couldn't be happier. Yesterday while Christopher was in his swing he wouldn't stop whining, and what do you know when I gave him Rupert everything was hunky-dory!

Christopher Loves His Daddy

I posted earlier about how much I love having Jeff home on his days off. I forgot to mention that Christopher loves having his daddy home all day probably even more than I do. His face lights up and the smile he gets when he See's Jeff is so amazing. Jeff thought he would try to put Christopher on his shoulders the other day since Christopher has been sitting up so well on his own and Christopher couldn't get enough. He laughed as Jeff took him around the house and he got to see his world from a different perspective ( I think we all need that sometimes!).

Days To Relax

I have said before that I LOVE the days Jeff is off work. It is really nice to just relax as a family and not worry about getting things ready to leave the house. We managed to get more hose work finished (even though we are still not completely unpacked!), and I decided to start a new project. I'm not going to revel what it is right now but I am really excited about it. I will give a little hint as to what it might involve....

Jeff actually laughed at me because I thought of this in my sleep the other night. I was so excited about it I started it yesterday and I didn't quite expect the project to be this extensive. I'm hoping to be finished in a week or so and I will post pictures when I finish it.

On another note, Jeff and I are trying out this new laptop our neighbor built us. Since we are in need of an Internet source here at home he also is letting us use his wireless access. We are really excited because he isn't going to charge us an arm and a leg for it and It's brand new. Lets hope that since Jeff has a history of destroying computers and we now have a neighbor that is a technical genius that this computer will last a while!

Fun In The Sun

Ok so I know I posted already today but I couldn't wait to show you Christopher and Bubba playing in the pool!!!!!!!!

A Baby Bootie, Mr. Caterpillar, and A Question

I have been fighting a loosing battle lately with trying to remove Christopher from his Binky. I know that taking it away at night isn’t all that feasible just yet but during the day he should be able to be without it. For a while now I have just taken it from him at random times and saying, “You don’t need that stupid Binky”, but that is not working to well anymore. Now if I try to take it from him he just screams until I give it back. Any Suggestions?

Now on to a cutie patootie! Christopher was waiting for his bath last night (NAKED!) and I couldn’t resist a bootie shot. He has the funniest quirk, whenever the water splashes loud he clenches his but cheeks together….. I also remembered my camera today so I thought I would show better quality photos of him sitting alone. The first one he was just sitting there… no big thing. The other two we had given him back his Boppy, which is normally around him so he won’t fall, and he just looked and laughed like I don’t need you anymore. ( Just realized how dirty his shirt is... oh well)
Finally I have a video I took of him a few days after Mimi left of him playing with Mr. Caterpillar.

Mobile Photos

I have taken a lot of photo's of Christopher lately but wouldn't ya know it I forgot my camera today. He has be trying a lot of new things, and even expanding his vocabulary to TWO words! He now cry's for "Dada" when he is upset or says "Baba" when he wants his bottle. We have been working on sitting up unsupported and what do you know last night it happened. Jeff was on a call about some drunk guy beating up his 71 year old mom (who happens to own a local cookie company-yummy! ) and I wouldn't stop alerting him until he heard about this big break through. He has also really been enjoying his swing and rocking chair.

So since he is awake now I will leave you with these pictures. Sorry they are not the best but more too come later.
