Radio Flyer

I bought an outfit for Jacob after he was born that i thought was absolutely adorable. It was a Radio Flyer outfit that has a butt-flap, and a cute hat. I told mom she could never throw it away because one day my baby would wear it too. Well I tried it on him the other day and it is still as adorable as it ever was. The hat wouldn't fit though (that's what we get for having a super genius baby!).

These pictures I took today of Christopher being goofy. The first one I took while on the phone with Lou. Christopher was sitting in the chair, straight, and decided he was tired so he just fell over. The second one was after he woke up from his nap and was sitting on the couch. I picked up a hat for him at the store and on the tag it says "one size fits all", not true! It was too big for Christopher and he decided he wanted to see the inside of the hat.

Beautiful Days

I love the south!!!!!! I can't really remember what snow or cold even feels like. Today we have temps in the mid 70's and I couldn't be more ecstatic. Christopher got to try on his sandals for the first time, and though he didn't like the flip-flops ("oh no something is between my toes") he didn't fuss with the regular brown ones I got him. He has been growing into his temperament more and more these days. I have to hide when I eat anything because now that he knows that spoons go in his mouth he thinks everything I eat he should have. I know he is wanting to try new things, but by golly he is only 4 months old. He did try a sip of daddy's Coke today (what a funny face that was).
Daddy has been trying hard to spend more time with Christopher and I. I know that his schedule is really difficult to maneuver around but we're figuring out ways for them to spend as much time together as they can. Christopher lights up when Jeff walks in the room and is trying his hardest to say "Dada". Admittedly I would love to hear him say "momma" first (and I am working on it day and night) it looks like daddy will win this battle. We have been going a little camera crazy lately, and have a lot of cute pictures, so this blog will probably be extra long. I'm still trying to figure out how to put the video's on my blog instead of through You Tube so check back to see if I had the "TADA" moment.

Lindsey's Baby Shower...

....was an adventure in itself. All and all it was a fun Saturday afternoon, but it started out a little on the "blah" side. She received some really nice gifts and a lot of clothes for little Lauren (whose appearance should only be 3 weeks away). I was glad that she loved the diaper cake and everyone was asking me to make some for upcoming baby showers in their families. Christopher ended up not attending the event because it was in the afternoon during his nap and meal time, which would have turned into a disaster, so he spent the afternoon with daddy. They supposedly went to watch airplanes and visited a park for a very short walk by the lake.

Jim, Erica, and Savannah left on Saturday as well. Christopher enjoyed the tidbits of time he spent with Savannah. There were times when they would go back and forth gabbing away like their conversation was the most important thing going on. I hope I can find the video I took and I'll post it on here.

We also broke down and purchased a Johnny Jump Up for Christopher. He's not to sure about the whole "jumping" part but he LOVES it as a swing. Be expecting pictures soon, I have been slacking in the mailing process but I hope to get them out soon.

America's Funniest Home Videos

Check out the video above... it's of Christopher eating. We are sending it in to AFV because... well you'll see. It should be up as soon as it loads on You Tube.

Another Doctors Visit

Tuesday we had Christopher's 4 month check up. Our little one is not so little anymore. He is now roughly between the size of a 7 or 8 month old. I know, I couldn't believe it either! He now weighs 16 pounds and 5 ounces, is about 26.5 inches tall, and has a larger than life head circumference.

We were given the OK to start baby foods and cereal (we have secretly been doing this off and on already anyway). He doesn't like the cereal to much unless we mix it with some type of fruit. We also found out that the spot on his toe is called an infantile hemagoma (not sure I spelled that right!). It's rare in all babies but even more rare in little boys, only 2% of the children that get this are little boys. Luckily however it did not show up on his face like most of the cases Dr. Stone showed us. It pretty much a build up of capillaries under the skin that will hopefully go away. He informed us that if it doesn't go away by the time Christopher gets to school we can have it removed. On a better note Christopher is at the level of a 6 month old when is comes to sitting up and moving around. He has almost mastered rolling over and crawling. Our little over-achiever.

Here are a few new snap shots of Christopher. One at the doctor's office and one of him eating so cereal.

4 Months Old

Somebody turned 4 months old today. Our little booger is making leaps and bounds toward being independent. He's starting to scoot and turn on the floor and the other day we found him at the head of his bed under his stuffed animals. Needless to say they are no longer in his crib. He's also trying to sit up on his own and hasn't quite gotten the hang of rolling over yet. Tuesday is his four month check-up so we will update you more then.

Today was our family picture day at Sears... here are a few of the chosen poses.

Happy Valentines Day

It's hard to believe that one year ago today Jeff and i found out that Christopher was on his way. He was the best Valentines day present ever. This year I went to extremes and decorated Jeff's truck while he was at work. This is how it turned out...

New Phone????

After two years with my dependable old phone I decided twas time for a change. Jeff and I were due to upgrade and resign for another two years last night so it was off to Verizon for the evening. Jeff got his new phone about a month ago and he wanted one of the new push to talk phones so when I was choosing last night I also would get the PTT feature since we liked it so well on Nextel. Any who the phone I picked out is the Motorola Adventure (If you're ever going to upgrade and have Verizon I strongly recommend it!) because it has the high quality photo and video capabilities. Here is some pictures I took of Christopher this morning. If you can't tell he loves, LOVES, LOVES his snugly lamb blanket. He won't sleep without it.

It's Been a While

We'll we have made it through the teething issues...finally! Christopher now has 2 pearly white teeth in his bottom gum. You can't really see it in the picture (because he wouldn't hold still), but they are there. After 3-4 weeks of screaming and a lot of headaches it's nice to see this milestone completed. I have been busy doing more art projects, looking for jobs, and preparing for Niki's visit next month. I'm so excited to see her I can hardly wait.

It has been pretty warm over the last couple of days (I'm talking 70's and low 80's) so Christopher and I have been spending a lot of time outdoors. Yesterday he played in his activity center for about an hour on the back patio before getting tired. Jeff has been dealing with his normal goofs at work. He keeps saying he is going to start posting blogs about some of the "less than intelligent" people he deals with throughout the week. Christopher has his 4 month check up next week. If you don't hear from us soon check back next week ;)
