Who loves their swing....

.....Christopher does! We got a swing to put on moms swing set and I am pleased to say that this little booger was THRILLED to swing back and forth outside. He liked watching Jacob and his friend Caleb running around the yard, and I don't think I have ever heard him laugh as hard as he did when Brock licked his toes. Each time he got a little push he would squeal a little louder. I was afraid that he would be scared of the swing and scream when he got into it but it was the complete opposite. He liked it so well that Mimi is purchasing the next swing for our back yard since we have some big trees that we can hang it from. The other picture is of Christopher after his bath in his crocodile towel. Everyone love a clean baby!

Additions To His Doctor Visit

It turns out that being a big baby is not at all a bad thing. I was so ecstatic when Dr. Stone told me to actually increase his formula intake (he's already getting PLENTY of food). Christopher weighs 22 pounds, 97%. He is 28.3 inches long, 94%. His head circumference is a whooping 46.5 c.m., 97%. I was really worried when the nurse told us his stats but they told us that Christopher needs extra weight as an infant in order to burn it off as a toddler.... as Christopher is thinking, "BRING ON THE FOOD"!

He is however just getting over a stomach virus that I didn't even know he had. Evidently he has had it for almost 2 weeks now, according to his white blood cell count. It was 15,200 when a normal count is about 900- 1000. Doctor stone said that it was good that his body was fighting off the virus on its own without medication. Which makes me feel a little better about the 102 degree temp he had last night.

These are a few photos from the doctors office this afternoon....

It's A Doctor Visit Day

In about an hour were headed to Dr. Stone's office for Christopher's 6 month check-up. I'm not to worried other than the fact the yesterday he had a temp of 102.1 and he couldn't get his "bodily functions" working properly. I'm pretty sure he is going to top the 22 pound mark and it's frustrating because he doesn't eat anywhere near the suggested amount for his age. I wish we could take some of his baby fat and ship it up to Aiden. I'm constantly worried about him getting to big. The lifestyle set for him now will dictate how he eats as he gets older. I just hope that when he starts walking or crawling that a few extra calories built up in his baby rolls will fall away. I almost can't wait to take his pictures for next month simply because he's going to have a scantly clad baby shoot. You have to love baby bottoms to understand!

Facial Expressions

So Christopher has been testing out new facial expressions lately. This is one he is trying to prefect. He likes to try the looks we give him, and especially the ones from Daddy. This one happens to be one of mine.

Mobile blogging

I wanted to try out this whole mobile blogging thing. This is just a snap shot of my chunky monkey playing on the floor in his room tonight.

Big Boy!

The past few days have been like a whirlwind. Jeff's birthday was Wednesday, we've been trying to finish unpacking and organizing, and I have been trying to meet some of our neighbors. The unpacking has been going at a slow but steady pace. I managed to accomplish all of "my" unpacking, the only stuff left belongs to Jeff. It looks like I will have to finish for him too. His birthday was spent cooking out on the grill and watching movies on the couch (not supposed to have been that way but oh well we enjoyed it anyway). Yesterday Christopher and i took our first walk around our new neighborhood. We ran into a guy walking two dogs and Christopher couldn't contain his excitement. Later in the walk we met a little girl about a year old playing in the street "all by herself". Her mom was inside on the phone and had no idea she had even gotten outside.... I'm thinking to myself "Wow she needs to keep a closer eye on this child".

Then to top off the week Christopher learned a new trick.... he stands on his own! I was so excited last nigh when I helped him walk over to his new "Mimi and Papa Co." toy box to discover new toys when he let go of my hands and stood at that toy box alone. I wanted to cry, laugh, and clap all at the same time but due to the fact he is still a little wobbly on his feet I kept my excitement to myself.

Visit From Mimi and Pappa

This has been a hectic week. I wish we would have had more time to spend with Mimi and Papa without feeling pressured by moving. We are finally in our new place and are ECSTATIC about it. Christopher now sleeps all night without waking up every hour from noisy neighbors. While Mimi and Papa were here we celebrated Jeff's birthday by going out to Texas Road House. We happened to let it slip to the waitress that we were celebrating and they did their worst to Jeff. They made him climb up on a saddle and wave a white napkin around in the air while they announced to everyone he was turning 27. We also had our Easter Egg Hunt this morning and dinner with my mom this afternoon. Below are some video's from this week and hopefully soon I will have a slideshow (it is much simpler than uploading 30 pictures). Enjoy!

New Baby Smell

Christopher is almost 6 months old now and has lost his "new baby smell" so I was more than excited when my friend Lindsey called to tell us that Miss Lauren Brant had decided to grace the world with her presence. She was born Monday at 6:24 p.m. and was, the same weight as Christopher at birth, a whooping 8 pounds. She was a quarter of an inch shorter at 21.5 inches (that's OK his future girlfriend isn't supposed to be taller than him... right Niki!). Jeff and I went to visit yesterday and I couldn't believe how tiny she was. I don't remember Christopher ever being that small!

We have been getting ready to move into our new house and I am sooooo excited! We haven't packed a thing yet, but we're working on it ;). Here are a few other random photos and a video from the past few days!
